GROWING together
into better disciples of Jesus
We believe that small groups are the way to genuine relationships with God, Jesus, and each other. You can find a variety of groups at Vinings UMC to plug into in order to GROW in our faith together. Here is what we are offering right now:
Our Adult Sunday School studies individual books of the Bible, devoting their time to the study of a couple chapters per week. Right now, they are studying Jeremiah together. Led by Scott Edwards.
Adult Sunday School
Sundays at 10:00 AM in our History Room.
Our Women’s Bible Study fluctuates between 5-10 women, who study the Adult Bible Study curriculum from Cokesbury. You’ll often find that one (or more) of the ladies brings food to share. The group is led by many individuals from week to week. All women are welcome!
Thursday Women’s Bible Study
Thursdays at 10AM in our History Room
Our prayer group meets around the table to pray for the needs of individuals there, to intercede for loved ones, friends, and family, and to praise God for the ways that God is there for us. All are welcome! This time lasts about 15-30 minutes.
Thursday Prayer Group
Thursdays at 12:00 PM in our History Room
Upcoming Offerings:
Sacred Playlist (Episode I):
Wednesdays at 7:00 PM in September and October on ZOOM
Have you ever heard a song that isn’t a worship song, but somehow it points you to God? God is everywhere if we know how to look! This small group will meet to discuss one or two songs per week and explore their spiritual meaning for us as people of faith. Expect a wide variety of songs, from Bill Withers to Creedence Clearwater Revival to Kendrick Lamar to Florence+The Machine…and more! This group is drop-in, drop-out and come as you are able. Each week is meant to be a stand-alone discussion, though you will also benefit from coming from week to week as we build a report with each other.
