Beth Dickinson

Rev. Beth Dickinson is the pastor of Vinings UMC located in the Vinings Village.  She has been the pastor at Vinings since June 2006.  Under Rev. Dickinson’s tenure at Vinings UMC the church has quadrupled in attendance.  Rev. Dickinson’s personal mission is to help people experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and discover their God-given purpose in life.

Before serving at Vinings, Rev. Dickinson served for over four years as Pastor with Students at McKendree UMC in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  Before that Rev. Dickinson served at her home church, Harmony Grove UMC in Lilburn, Georgia, as the assistant Youth Director, working primarily with the middle school youth.

Beth’s undergraduate degree is in Chemistry from the University of Georgia where she graduated magna cum laude with honors.  Beth worked as a chemist for several years before answering the call to ministry.  Beth graduated from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2003 with a Master of Divinity degree and a concentration in Christian Education.

Beth was ordained as an elder in full connection in June 2008 in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.  Beth is married to Keith Dickinson who is employed as a pharmacist for Publix.  The two married in 1999.  In 2004, they proudly welcomed their first son Jacob.  In 2009, they again proudly welcomed a son, Thomas.
